GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy is seeking an Engineering Technical Lead for I&C Embedded Software to mentor a portion of the team responsible for developing and maintaining embedded software controls and instrumentation systems for nuclear power plants. The role focuses on work planning, technical approach, design assurance, and execution excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent 4-year technical degree from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in embedded software development, including deep knowledge of C and software development tools.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience with C coding conventions, unit testing, and integration testing of software.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience performing independent, or team-based, system design or technical reviews including interfacing with requirements management, IV&V.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, scheduling, and resource loading across lifecycle phases (Engineer-Procure-Construct or new product introduction).
• Support project engineering/management with status, risks, and mitigation plans.
• Drive compliance using design processes, budgets, and schedules; conduct design reviews.
• Lead day-to-day operations to ensure on-spec, on-budget, on-schedule deliverables.
• Coordinate across engineering disciplines to support integrated plant design objectives.
• Collaborate with management, engineering, and support functions to drive project completion.
• Identify, document, and lead resolution of technical and risk issues.
• Provide technical oversight to ensure designs meet requirements from design release through commissioning.
• Assist with strategy, plan, SOW, and resource loading implementation.
• Host learning sessions and knowledge transfer initiatives.
• Use tools for requirements, design, change, configuration, and document management.
• Champion nuclear safety culture; ensure GVH policies and QA systems are followed.
• Deliver work with integrity, safety, and quality on-time.
