GE Vernova is seeking a Principal Engineer and Controlled Title Holder for Nuclear Plant Controls Services to harmonize control disciplines into a single, high-quality digital solution. You will provide advanced technical leadership, drive engineering excellence, supervise complex nuclear projects, and mentor the next generation of engineers.

The role involves setting standards, governance over requirements, architecture, and V&V methodologies, and ensuring compliance with 10 CFR 50.59 across

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering required.
• At least 10 years in engineering or operations in Nuclear Power.
• 10 years of Instrumentation & Control (I&C) systems in highly regulated, safety-critical environments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a recognized technical authority within Nuclear Plant Controls, setting standards and influencing engineering decisions.
• Establish an integration framework for control system requirements, architecture, and V&V methodologies for the nuclear fleet.
• Represent the business on nuclear safety-critical design standards and influence roadmaps for regulatory compliance.
• Provide an overarching technical safety lens and ensure margins remain uncompromised across multi-disciplinary integrations.
• Own critical technical deliverables and collaborate with Steam Turbine Controls and Steam Power Operability teams.
• Identify risks, lead cross-functional problem resolution, and define mitigations at the system level.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, regulations, and industry trends to drive innovation.
• Mentor and develop the engineering pipeline and champion a system-level mindset.
