Job summary

Mrsool is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a team of 8–10 engineers building real-time, high-scale backend services powering ordering, dispatch, payments, and experiences for millions of users and couriers.

This hands-on, data-driven leadership role will own delivery and technical direction, focusing on reliability, unit economics, and scalable architectures across distributed systems.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with leadership exposure.
• Proven track record shipping reliable, high‑scale backend systems.
• Strong data science/analytical capabilities and metrics‑driven decision making.
• Solid fundamentals in distributed systems, concurrency and CAP trade‑offs.
• Proficient in Go, Python or Ruby and SQL, with production code mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of 8–10 engineers, owning hiring, performance, and cadence.
• Set domain technical direction, RFCs, design docs, and execution plans.
• Ground decisions in data, using experiments to validate impact.
• Collaborate with data scientists and ML systems for forecasting and optimization.
• Guide system architecture for low-latency, real-time throughput at scale.
• Own reliability, observability, and CI/CD practices across the domain.
• Partner with product, operations, data science, and other squads.
• Balance short-term delivery with long-term architectural stability.
