Boulevard is hiring an Engineering Manager to lead and grow a remote product engineering team responsible for a scalable self-care platform. You will drive architecture decisions, collaborate with product and design, and mentor engineers to deliver high-impact features.

Own people management, performance reviews, and on-call incident leadership while balancing hands-on contributions with team enablement. Excellent communication required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience with 2+ years of people management.
• Proven ability to lead and develop engineering teams.
• Strong technical background with the ability to provide architectural guidance.
• Experience with agile development and delivery management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Track record of building inclusive, high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of 5-8 engineers across various experience levels.
• Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development planning.
• Partner with Product Management and Design to define and deliver the team roadmap.
• Drive technical excellence through code reviews and architectural guidance.
• Build a high-performing team culture focused on collaboration and growth.
• Manage team delivery, removing blockers, and ensuring successful execution.
• Contribute to hiring, interviewing, and onboarding new team members.
• Participate in on-call rotation and lead incident response when needed.
• Balance hands-on technical contribution with team enablement.
