Job summary

isolved is seeking an Engineering Manager for Platform Engineering in the United States. You will lead one or more software teams, remain close to the technical work, and drive health, growth, and delivery of your teams.

You will partner with product management and architecture to translate roadmaps into shipped software, while championing AI-assisted development and strong engineering practices. This hands-on management role emphasizes code reviews, architecture discussions, and delivering

Qualifications

Proven experience managing a software engineering team of roughly 8 to 15 reports, including senior engineers.
A genuine player-coach profile, hands-on enough to earn technical respect and not removed from day-to-day work.
A strong delivery track record in an agile environment (Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid).
Demonstrated ability to coach engineers, manage performance, and develop careers.
Demonstrated use of AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) within a team's workflow.
Strong skills in: technical fluency across a modern web and .NET stack, architecture tradeoffs, and risk.
Experience with hiring, onboarding, performance management, and collaboration with product management.
Experience with Azure, CI/CD pipelines, and Azure DevOps or similar tooling.

Responsibilities

Maintaining team health, sprint status, performance, blockers, and delivery risks.
Actively engaging in ceremonies and technical discussions, surfacing risks early.
Coaching engineers, addressing underperformance, and building high-standard, psychologically safe culture.
Guiding teams through complexity while maintaining momentum amid changing priorities.
Reporting delivery risks, capacity, and health with honest, data-driven updates.
Partnering with product management on roadmap and capacity planning.
Owning sprint readout quality with meaningful status and mitigation plans.
Conducting 1-on-1s, coaching for growth, and facilitating career development.
