Job summary

Constructor is hiring an Engineering Manager for the Customer Developer Experience (CDX) team. You will lead engineers supporting external developers integrating our platform and build open-source tooling that powers millions of devices and next-generation retail experiences.

You will set the technical strategy for open-source tooling, ensure reliability and quality of libraries, and own the developer experience from docs to reference examples.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of web development experience with leadership.
• 2+ years directly leading an engineering team.
• Proficiency with JavaScript & React; TypeScript a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience collaborating with customers and internal teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Experience contributing to open source is a plus.
• English at CEFR C1+.
• Willing to attend meetings between 2 and 8 pm UTC.
• Passion to help a high-growth startup.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, CS, data science, and engineering.
• Balance hands-on integration support with long-term tooling work.
• Own the hiring process for the team end-to-end.
• Mentor engineers and guide career development.
• Set technical direction and maintain high-quality tooling.
• Guide development of TypeScript/React UI libraries.
• Improve developer experience for external integrators.
