Job summary

NetX LLC is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the day-to-day effectiveness of its engineering organization. The role combines strong people leadership with disciplined operating practices across Java, Platform, SysOps, UI, QA, and Product, reporting to the CTO.

This is a management-first role where you will hire, coach, and develop engineers, set clear goals, and drive delivery cadence while collaborating with Product, Customer Success, Security, and Finance to ensure scalable, reliable

Qualifications

• Substantial software-engineering experience, including leadership in a SaaS or enterprise software environment.
• Proven record of managing engineers directly with goal setting and performance reviews.
• Strong knowledge of modern software delivery, code review, testing, and release management.
• Technical credibility in software and/or SaaS applications and ability to engage with UI, QA, cloud, and product stakeholders.
• Experience leading distributed or remote teams with accountability.
• History of resolving conflict and making timely decisions.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage engineering team members and leads across Java, Platform, SysOps, UI, QA, and Product.
• Set role expectations, conduct performance reviews, and maintain clear documentation of feedback and outcomes.
• Partner with Product and technical leads to align scopes, ownership, and acceptance criteria.
• Establish practical quality gates for specifications, design, documentation, code review, testing, and release readiness.
• Run an effective operating cadence for engineering, with planning, status visibility, and risk escalation.
• Balance delivery speed, quality, technical debt, and operational risk while making decisions within authority.
