Ladders is seeking an Engineering Manager, Mobile Development Productivity to lead a distributed team focused on boosting mobile developer productivity through better platforms, tools, and metrics. This role partners with product, infrastructure, and staff engineers to set technical direction and ensure reliable, secure execution.

Remote US-based, with compensation $150,000 to $180,000 per year. The ideal candidate has 8+ years in software development and 3+ years in management, proven success

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience, including 3+ years in engineering management.
• Experience leading teams that build platforms or tools for other engineers.
• Ability to define technical strategy and translate goals into execution plans.
• Proven success in hiring and developing engineers in an inclusive environment.
• Strong communication skills to align cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of engineers through hiring, coaching, and mentoring.
• Define the team's technical strategy and roadmap based on organizational priorities.
• Collaborate with product and infrastructure teams to address shared development challenges.
• Work with staff engineers on architecture and strategic technical decisions.
• Establish high standards for reliability and security across team-owned systems.
• Enhance the experience of mobile engineers and AI agents using productivity metrics.
• Maintain alignment and visibility with geographically distributed colleagues.
