Nava Public Benefit Corp. is seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to guide career growth and deliver technology solutions for government clients.

You will balance leadership with hands-on technical work, collaborating with product, design, and vendors to deliver secure, reliable cloud-based systems. The role emphasizes technical leadership, roadmap design, architecture review, and proactive stakeholder engagement across a remote-friendly, US-wide team.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in agile, multidisciplinary teams in cloud environments.
• 1+ year as a People Manager.
• Production-grade cloud-native microservices with Java/Spring Boot.
• Experience with Postgres, JDBC, and Hibernate.
• DevOps experience, preferably Jenkins CI/CD.
• AWS cloud native services experience.
• Strong problem-solving and initiative.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Write code and review code to ensure quality.
• Write and review technical specs for projects.
• Collaborate with product teams to mitigate technical risks.
• Guide planning, estimation, prioritization, and trade-offs.
• Review architectures and designs from other teams.
• Design and enforce technical roadmaps and architectures.
• Maintain production systems and on-call incident response.
• Lead and contribute to cross-functional delivery.
