Job summary

Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana is seeking an Engagement Manager to drive growth of Fresh Connect Central (FCC), liaising with food banks and other organizations to connect needs with FCC products and services. You will develop account plans, nurture relationships, and coordinate with internal teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

The role requires Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, strong knowledge of food distribution and CRM systems, and proven sales/account management experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Advanced knowledge of food distribution.
• Advanced knowledge of food banking industry desired.
• Prior sales & account management experience desired.
• Experience with CRM systems preferred with the ability to create, analyze, and present reports.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations desired.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute account plans to meet sales, account growth, and customer retention goals.
• Engage active, inactive, and prospective customers to understand needs and connect them with FCC products and services.
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries and provide ongoing account support to strengthen satisfaction.
• Research and pursue new business opportunities within the food banking network and with other suitable customers.
• Collaborate with the Quote Specialist to develop quotes and proposals within pricing and Terms.
• Present proposals, address questions, negotiate, and secure commitments.
• Coordinate with Quote Specialist and Supply Chain Specialist to communicate requirements and track orders.
• Assist in creating, distributing, and promoting sales offers.
• Visit customer locations and analyze operations to identify growth opportunities.
• Share customer demand and feedback to inform sourcing and production decisions.
• Represent FCC at events and conduct meetings/webinars to promote offerings.
• Build relationships with Feeding America and partners to expand opportunities.
• Maintain accurate customer records and sales pipeline in CRM.
• Provide regular forecasts and progress reports to support planning.
• Stay informed on supply chain and production capabilities.
• Collaborate professionally and respectfully with colleagues and partners.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
