Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking an Energy Storage Preconstruction Project Manager for a fully remote role.

You will lead planning across engineering, scheduling, budgeting, and documentation, coordinating with multiple departments to shape project scope and LNTP activities. The role requires strong leadership in a remote environment, deep knowledge of procurement, cost forecasting, and risk management, plus travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Energy Storage Construction Experience.
• Engineering, Construction Management or Architectural degree, or equivalent experience.
• Thorough understanding of plans and specifications.
• Field experience (5-8 years, Project Engineer or Assistant Superintendent).
• Leadership ability in a remote environment with diverse teams.
• Effective written and verbal communications and organizational skills.
• Strong computer skills with MS Office and Bluebeam Revu.
• Fundamental knowledge of contract law and project accounting.
• Able to travel (estimated 25%).
• 5+ years construction experience and 2+ years scheduling/estimating experience.

Responsibilities

• Able to perform all Preconstruction Project Manager responsibilities.
• Maintain cost control ledger and job cost statements.
• Prepare billings and expedite payments.
• Set up and maintain CMiC system.
• Prepare bid packages and solicit/evaluate bids.
• Write project procedures.
• Review plans for completeness and accuracy.
• Supervise and train Preconstruction Project Engineers and staff.
• Ensure procurement aligns with LNTP scope, budget, and schedules.
• Collaborate with BD, engineering, accounting, construction, and legal to create scopes of work.
• Understand design constraints and material lead-times for long lead items.
• Define and create LNTPs.
• Research and understand design requirements (owner/contract/permit).
• Track changes impacting schedule/budget and report to Project Executive.
• Represent SOLV Energy in owner meetings.
• Support estimating reconciliation for design iterations.
• Maintain timely reporting to project team and management (cost forecasting).
• Manage project risk with mitigation planning.
