Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an Energy Storage Preconstruction Project Manager to lead a project from planning through closeout. The role collaborates with engineering, scheduling, budgeting, and procurement teams in a fully remote setting.

The position requires strong leadership, cost control, and contract administration skills, with travel around 25% as needed. You will manage LNTPs, bids, and reporting to ensure on-time, on-budget execution.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Energy Storage Construction Experience.
• Engineering, Construction Management or Architectural degree, or equivalent experience
• Thorough understanding of plans and specifications
• Field experience (5-8 years, Project Engineer or Assistant Superintendent)
• Leadership ability to manage remote teams and diverse backgrounds
• Strong written and verbal communications and organizational skills
• Proficient with MS Office and industry tools like Bluebeam Revu
• Travel approximately 25% as needed
• 5+ years construction experience
• 2+ years scheduling and estimating experience

Responsibilities

• Lead Preconstruction Project Manager activities and oversight.
• Maintain cost control ledger and job cost statements.
• Prepare billings and expedite payments.
• Set up and maintain the CMiC system.
• Prepare bid packages and evaluate bids.
• Write project procedures and review plans for completeness.
• Supervise and train Project Engineers and clerical staff.
• Ensure procurement aligns with LNTP scope, budget, and schedules.
• Collaborate across departments to define contract scopes of work.
• Coordinate long lead procurement releases during LNTP phase.
• Define and create LNTPs and track design requirements.
• Liaise with Engineering Manager on schedule/budget impacts.
• Represent SOLV Energy in owner meetings.
• Support estimating reconciliation for design iterations.
• Maintain reporting for cost forecasts and EAC.
• Manage project risk with mitigation plans.
• Build relationships with Owner, Engineers, Vendors, and Subcontractors.
