Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking an Energy Storage Preconstruction Project Manager to lead a project from planning through closeout, with responsibilities across engineering, scheduling, budgeting and procurement.

The role is fully remote and requires collaboration with multiple departments to define LNTP scopes, manage long-lead procurement, and maintain cost controls while ensuring timely reporting to leadership.

Qualifications

• Engineering, Construction Management or Architecture degree, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of Energy Storage Construction Experience.
• Thorough understanding of plans and specifications.
• Field experience (5-8 years) as Project Engineer or Assistant Superintendent.
• Leadership in remote teams and strong communication.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and Bluebeam Revu.
• Understanding of contract law and project accounting.
• Willingness to travel ~25%.
• 5+ years construction experience and 2+ years scheduling/estimating.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all Preconstruction Project Manager responsibilities.
• Maintain cost control ledger and job cost statements.
• Prepare billings and expedite payments.
• Set up and maintain the CMiC system.
• Prepare bid packages and evaluate bids.
• Write project procedures and review plans for completeness.
• Supervise and train Preconstruction Engineers and staff.
• Ensure procurement aligns with LNTP scope, budget, and schedules.
• Collaborate with BD, engineering, accounting, construction, and legal to create contract scopes of work.
• Coordinate design constraints and material lead-times for long-lead procurement.
• Define and create LNTPs and track design requirements.
• Communicate changes impacting schedule or budget to Project Executive.
• Represent SOLV Energy in owner meetings and assist estimating reconciliation.
• Report cost forecasting and EAC timely to project team.
