Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is hiring an Energy Storage Preconstruction Project Manager. The role leads project planning across engineering, scheduling, budgeting, and documentation for utility-scale solar and storage projects.

Work is fully remote with travel ~25%. The PM will oversee engineers, procurements, and contract scopes, ensuring cost control, risk mitigation, and timely owner communications. Strong leadership and industry experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Energy Storage Construction Experience.
• Engineering, Construction Management or Architectural degree, or equivalent experience.
• Field experience (5-8 years, Project Engineer or Assistant Superintendent).
• Leadership ability – able to pull together diverse remote teams into a cohesive unit.
• Strong computer skills with MS Office and Bluebeam Revu.
• Fundamental knowledge of contract law and project accounting.
• Able to travel (estimated 25%).

Responsibilities

• Maintain cost control ledger and job cost statements.
• Write project procedures.
• Supervise and train Preconstruction Project Engineers and clerical staff.
• Collaborate with business development, engineering, accounting, construction and legal to create contract scopes.
• Coordinate with Engineering and Procurement on design constraints and lead-times for long lead items.
• Research and understand project design requirements (owner/contract/permit).
• Liaise with Engineering Manager to track changes impacting schedule or budget.
• Represent SOLV Energy in owner meetings.
• Support estimating reconciliation for design iterations.
• Provide timely reporting on cost forecasting and EAC to project team and mgmt.
• Develop mitigation plans for identified project risks.
• Build strong relationships with Owner, Engineers, Vendors and Subcontractors.
