Job summary

SOLV Energy is a leading provider of infrastructure services to the power industry, designing, building and maintaining utility scale solar, battery storage and high voltage substation projects nationwide. The Energy Storage Preconstruction Project Manager will provide leadership and oversight to an individual project, collaborating with engineering, scheduling, budgeting, and closeout documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of energy storage construction experience.
• Field experience in project roles such as Project Engineer or Assistant Superintendent (5–8 years).
• Leadership skills to manage remote, diverse teams.
• Strong MS Office skills and familiarity with industry tools (e.g., Bluebeam Revu).
• Understanding of contract law and basic project accounting.
• Willingness to travel ~25%.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cost control ledger and job cost statements
• Write project procedures
• Supervise and train Preconstruction Project Engineers and clerical staff
• Collaborate with departments to create contract scopes of work
• Coordinate design lead times and LNTP phase releases
• Research and understand project design requirements
• Track changes impacting schedule/budget and report to Project Executive
• Represent SOLV Energy in owner meetings
• Support estimating reconciliation for each design iteration
• Maintain reporting: cost forecasting and estimated cost at completion
• Develop risk mitigation plans
• Build partnerships with Owners, Engineers, Vendors and Subcontractors
