Job summary

SOLV Energy, a nationwide leader in solar, storage, and substation projects, seeks an Energy Storage Preconstruction Project Manager. You will lead project planning with engineering, scheduling, budgeting, and change management to ensure successful LNTP execution and cost control in a fully remote role.

Responsibilities include bid packages, CMiC setup, risk management, and cross-functional coordination to deliver projects on time and within budget, reporting to the Project Executive.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of energy storage construction experience.
• Engineering, Construction Management or Architectural degree, or equivalent experience.
• Thorough understanding of plans and specifications.
• Field experience (5-8 years, Project Engineer or Assistant Superintendent).
• Leadership ability to lead remote teams and organize them into a cohesive unit.
• Effective written and verbal communications and organizational skills.
• Strong computer skills with MS Office suite and industry tools such as Bluebeam Revu.
• Knowledge of contract law and project accounting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee Preconstruction Project activities across multiple departments.
• Maintain cost control ledger and job cost statements.
• Prepare billings and expedite payments.
• Set up and maintain all CMiC system components.
• Prepare bid packages; solicit and evaluate bids.
• Write and implement project procedures.
• Review plans for completeness and accuracy.
• Supervise and train Preconstruction Project Engineers and clerical staff.
• Ensure procurement aligns with LNTP scope, budget, and schedules.
• Collaborate with Business Development, Engineering, Accounting, Construction and Legal to create contract scopes of work.
• Coordinate with Engineering and Procurement on design constraints and lead times for long-lead items.
• Define and create LNTPs.
• Research project design requirements (internal/owner/permit).
• Liaise with Engineering Manager on changes impacting schedule or budget.
• Represent SOLV Energy in owner meetings.
• Support estimating reconciliation for design iterations.
• Maintain timely reporting on cost forecasting and EAC to Project Team.
