Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an Acceptance Testing Technician, Energy Storage - Level 2, to manage testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting at substations and PV facilities. The role is remote with heavy travel to job sites across the country; interview discussions will cover location expectations.

The position requires 3–5 years as an electrician testing technician in substations or BESS yards, strong safety focus, and the ability to train junior technicians.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years as electrician testing technician in substations or BESS yards.
• Travel up to 75% of time.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• NFPA 70e Safety Training certification.
• STS certification.
• Ability to pass exams on electrical schematics and hydraulic/pneumatic diagrams.
• California Oil Producers – Passport Training.
• H2S Training/SCBA Awareness.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead site testing, maintenance, repair and troubleshooting as directed by management.
• Direct and supervise Testing Technician I activities.
• Prepare timely and accurate test reports and documentation.
• Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing safety standards.
• Provide ongoing training to Testing Technician I employees.
