Job summary

Southland Industries Inc. is seeking an Operations Manager responsible for overseeing energy-based projects, including planning, management, and financial oversight of portfolios. The role involves ensuring alignment in project scope and leading teams to achieve key performance indicators.

Qualified candidates will have a strong knowledge of construction technologies, exceptional leadership abilities, and experience in MEPF systems. This position is remote, but candidates must reside near Dulles, VA for occasional onsite needs.

Qualifications

• 10-15 years of ESCO, GC, or MEP contracting and management experience required.
• Participate in preconstruction to ensure scope, quality, and performance expectations are met.

Responsibilities

• Oversee energy-based project deliverables and teams.
• Align project KPI performance expectations.
• Lead project delivery teams and manage procurement strategies.
• Participate in customer meetings and presentations.

Skills

Knowledge of MEPF systems

Interpersonal and communication skills

Understanding of cost estimating and contracting

Knowledge of commercial contract terms

Advanced knowledge in engineering and design

Education

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical or architectural engineering
