Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking an Energy Storage Preconstruction Project Manager to lead a nationwide project from a fully remote location. You will coordinate engineering, scheduling, budgeting, procurement and closeout activities to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery, reporting to the Project Executive.

The role requires strong leadership, scheduling/estimating experience, and deep knowledge of contract and project accounting, with 25% travel expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Energy Storage Construction Experience.
• Engineering, Construction Management or Architectural degree, or equivalent experience.
• Thorough understanding of plans and specifications.
• Field experience (5-8 years, Project Engineer or Assistant Superintendent).
• Leadership ability to coordinate remote teams and drive results.
• Effective written and verbal communications and organizational skills.
• Strong computer skills with MS Office and industry tools (Bluebeam Revu).
• Knowledge of contract law and project accounting.
• Able to travel (estimated 25%).
• 5+ years construction experience and 2+ years scheduling/estimating experience.

Responsibilities

• Able to perform all Preconstruction Project Manager responsibilities.
• Maintain cost control ledger and job cost statements.
• Prepare billings and expedite payments.
• Set up and maintain CMiC system.
• Prepare bid packages and solicit/evaluate bids.
• Write project procedures.
• Review plans for completeness and accuracy.
• Supervise and train Preconstruction Project Engineers and clerical staff.
• Ensure procurement aligns with LNTP scope, budget, and schedules.
• Collaborate with BD, engineering, accounting, construction, and legal to create contract scopes.
• Coordinate long lead procurement with design constraints and LNTP releases.
• Define and create LNTPs; research design requirements.
• Track changes impacting schedule/budget and report to Project Executive.
• Represent SOLV Energy in owner meetings.
• Support estimating reconciliation for each design iteration.
• Maintain timely reporting on cost forecasting and EAC.
• Develop mitigation plans for project risk with team management.
• Build strong relationships with Owners, Engineers, Vendors and Subcontractors.
