Job summary

ENERGY SYSTEMS GROUP is seeking a Performance Engineer to join our Public Sector East team in New England or New York. The role involves frequent travel (approximately 25%–50%), including overnight stays, and serves as the primary technical project developer translating customer needs into concrete energy solutions.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering/technology degree or equivalent.
• 3–8 years experience in a construction or energy service related field.

Responsibilities

• Conducts in-depth site surveys to identify mechanical and operating inefficiencies; analyzes utility bills and financials.
• Prepares technical plans and communicates with internal teams, subcontractors and customers.
• Performs energy savings, operational savings and life cycle cost analyses; establishes guaranteed savings.
• Creates financial models based on customer parameters and project results.
• Coordinates with Account Executive and Project Manager to develop and present proposals to customers.
• Ensures smooth installation and acts as a technical liaison between operations and sales.

Education

Bachelor’s degree from ABET accredited Engineering/Technology program or equivalent
