Job summary

Energy Systems Group, LLC is seeking a Performance Engineer to join our Public Sector East team in New England or New York. The role requires frequent travel (approximately 25%–50%), including overnight stays.

The incumbent will be the primary technical project developer, translating customer needs into concrete, cost-effective energy solutions, conducting site surveys, energy analyses, and financial modeling to ensure guaranteed savings and successful installations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an ABET accredited Engineering/Technology program or equivalent.
• Three (3) to eight (8) years' experience in a construction or energy service related field.
• Certifications such as CEM, CMVP, LEED, NEBB, TAB, ASHRAE or Professional License (PE) are considered a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Conducts in-depth site surveys to identify mechanical and operating inefficiencies; analyzes utility bills and financials; coordinates with contractors to provide technical solutions.
• Create technical plans and schematics to convey solutions and risk to internal teams and customers.
• Performs energy savings analyses, life-cycle cost analyses, and develops guaranteed savings for proposed measures.
• Develop financial models based on client parameters and project results; coordinate with Account Executive and Project Manager to develop proposals.
• Ensure smooth installation by acting as the technical liaison between operations and sales, and supervise subcontractors to meet project requirements.
• Determine measurements to guarantee energy and operational savings and maintain current knowledge of technologies and regulatory impacts.
