Job summary

ENERGY SYSTEMS GROUP is seeking a Performance Engineer to join our Public Sector East team in New England or New York, with travel 25%-50%. The role focuses on translating customer needs into concrete energy solutions and leading technical project development.

You will conduct site surveys, perform energy savings calculations, and develop financial models, coordinating with executives and project managers to deliver results for government and public sector clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an ABET accredited Engineering/Technology program or equivalent.
• Three (3) to eight (8) years' experience in a construction or energy service related field.
• Ten (10) years' experience is a bonus in construction or energy service.
• Certifications such as CEM, CMVP, LEED, NEBB, TAB, ASHRAE are a bonus.
• Professional License (PE) and NCESS Record are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Conducts in-depth site surveys to identify mechanical and operating inefficiencies; analyzes utility bills, financials, and coordinates with contractors.
• Create technical plans and communicate solutions and risk to the team and customers.
• Performs energy savings calculations, life cycle cost analyses, and feasibility studies.
• Develops financial models and presents proposals to customers with the account team.
• Coordinate with Project Manager to ensure smooth installations and timely delivery.
• Identify subcontractors and ensure quality of work exceeds requirements.
• Keep abreast of current technologies and regional legislation affecting projects.
