Job summary

Resource Innovations is seeking an experienced Engineering Lead to provide technical leadership and project management for energy-efficiency studies and utility programs.

The role supports commercial and industrial customers, with remote work from any US state or Ontario, Canada. Up to 20% travel to project sites across the US and Canada is required. Join a women-led, impact-focused firm driving load flexibility, electrification, and carbon reduction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or related field with 4+ years of relevant experience; or master’s with 3+ years.
• Experience developing energy-savings calculations for commercial/industrial systems, including natural gas end uses.
• Experience managing technical projects: scopes, budgets, schedules, staff, deliverables.
• Proficient in Python and/or Excel for data cleaning, statistics, regression modeling, automation, visualization.
• Experience measuring and verifying using engineering calculations, utility billing analysis, interval data, or regression modeling.
• Strong interest in sustainability and making an environmental impact.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical algorithms, calculation tools, data-collection instruments, and work papers for design, evaluation, and savings estimation.
• Create scopes of work, technical approaches, project plans, and budgets for energy-efficiency studies and utility programs.
• Perform and review energy-savings analyses for HVAC, building controls, lighting, refrigeration, and natural gas end uses.
• Lead M&V activities using calculations, utility data analysis, regression, and energy simulations.
• Collaborate to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance in reports and client deliverables.
