Job summary
Energy Sciences is seeking a qualified energy engineer to help commercial and industrial clients reduce energy use through assessments, retro-commissioning, and energy efficiency programs. The role requires traveling up to 25% and working from a home-based office.
You will perform energy and economic analyses, review assessments, prepare reports, and collaborate with clients and technical teams to deliver cost-effective solutions that improve efficiency and sustainability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in energy assessments and commissioning/retro-commissioning related work.
- CEM, CEA, CMVP, EBCP, and PE certifications preferred.
- Knowledge of energy analyses, building systems (HVAC, pumps, controls), and decarbonization strategies.
Responsibilities
- Identify and quantify energy efficiency opportunities.
- Perform energy and economic analyses.
- Review energy assessments, opportunities, and calculations.
- Collaborate with customers, answer technical questions, and develop projects.
- Prepare reports and deliver presentations.
- Conduct site surveys and facilities assessments.
- Collaborate with the technical team to teach energy engineering fundamentals.
- Support customers with utility energy efficiency programs.
