Job summary

Sur La Table is seeking an Email & SMS Specialist to own the end-to-end lifecycle of email and SMS campaigns - from calendaring and creative build through testing, deployment, and performance analysis. This role sits at the intersection of brand marketing, CRM, and e-commerce, ensuring every send is on-brand, on-time, and driving measurable engagement.

As Email & SMS Specialist, you will be the go-to expert on audience segmentation, campaign optimization, and AI-driven workflow improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years of hands-on email marketing experience.
• Proven experience using generative AI tools or AI features within email/SMS platforms.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
• Familiarity with CAN-SPAM, CASL, GDPR.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple campaigns.
• Curiosity and willingness to experiment while preserving brand voice.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end email and SMS campaign creation from template to deployment.
• Collaborate with Brand Marketing, Creative, and Merchandising teams.
• Manage monthly email and SMS calendars.
• Oversee daily QA with stakeholders to ensure on-time delivery and accuracy.
• Monitor, analyze, and report key metrics to optimize performance.
• Design and execute A/B tests on subject lines, copy, send times, and creative.
• Lead adoption of AI tools across workflow and pilot new tools during peak periods.
• Partner with Analytics/CRM to deepen audience segmentation.
• Ensure CAN-SPAM, CASL, GDPR compliance.
• Stay current on industry trends and drive process improvements.
