Job summary

Pearson’s English Language Learning sales team is seeking a results-driven representative to drive revenue growth across digital and print ELL solutions. This field-based role emphasizes new account development, strong discovery skills, and strategic partnerships with educators and institutions.

You’ll travel 3–4 days a week, work remotely, and base yourself in the Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, or DC area, earning a competitive base salary plus incentives and a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Minimum 2 years of outstanding sales experience in adult education, higher education, or related market.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, CRM and mobile technologies.
• Willingness to travel 3-4 days per week and attend regional and national conferences and events.
• Reside in the state of Maryland, North Carolina, Virginia.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Use a mix of in-person and virtual outreach to engage 15+ faculty members or decision-makers daily.
• Proactively prospect and pursue new business opportunities with a hunter mindset.
• Strategically plan and manage territory and accounts to drive customer acquisition and revenue growth.
• Present, sell, and negotiate Pearson’s digital English Language Learning solutions in both virtual and face-to-face settings.
• Deliver product demonstrations, onboarding, and training to support long-term customer adoption.
• Manage pipeline, forecasting, and activity tracking using Salesforce (OneCRM)
• Stay current on Pearson products, platforms, and trends in the English Language Learning market.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with teachers, administrators, and bookstore partners.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Success, product specialists, marketing, and sales leadership.
• Execute national and regional sales initiatives within your local market.
• Contribute to a collaborative, high-performing sales culture through knowledge sharing and best practices.
