Job summary
Sunrock Distributed Generation, Inc. seeks an Engineering Manager to lead the engineering team across its growing portfolio of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects.
You will drive design, reliability, and technical due diligence from origination through handover, and collaborate with commercial, development, EPC partners, and utilities. The role is ideal for a Northeast-based leader with Eastern Time hours, hybrid with travel to sites, and potential full remote within the United States
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 8+ years of relevant engineering experience in BESS, distributed generation, renewable energy, or related energy infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of power systems, interconnection, protection systems, and battery technologies.
Responsibilities
- Lead engineering activities across a distributed generation BESS portfolio.
- Develop engineering strategies and best practices to support project execution.
- Manage internal engineering resources and external engineering consultants.
- Review electrical studies including load flow, short circuit, arc flash, grounding, and protection coordination studies.
