Zusammenfassung

Sunrock Distributed seeks an Engineering Manager to lead all engineering activities for a growing portfolio of distributed Battery Energy Storage System projects. You will oversee design, procurement support, commissioning, and handover, collaborating with EPCs, OEMs, utilities, and consultants, while setting engineering standards.

The role requires a PE license, 8+ years in relevant energy projects, and readiness to work in a Northeast-focused, hybrid/remote U.S.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 8+ years of engineering experience in BESS, distributed renewable energy, or related energy infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of power systems, interconnection, protection, and battery technologies.
• Experience with NEC, NFPA, IEEE, UL9540/9540A, NFPA 855 and utility standards.
• PE license and history establishing engineering standards for growing portfolios.
• Experience leading teams and coordinating with EPC contractors, OEMs, utilities, and consultants.

Aufgaben

• Lead engineering activities across a distributed BESS portfolio and set strategies.
• Oversee internal resources and external engineering consultants.
• Support project development with technical feasibility, system design, and due diligence.
• Review electrical studies (load flow, short circuit, arc flash, grounding, protection).
• Coordinate engineering deliverables with EPCs and equipment manufacturers; support procurement.
• Provide engineering support during construction, commissioning, and energization.
