GFT is seeking a Principal EHV Transmission Line Engineer focused on 765kV design to join our Power Business Group. This role reports to multiple office locations but can be fully remote for the right candidate, enabling leadership across major projects in the power sector.

You will lead line design efforts, coordinate with clients and teams, and contribute strategic input to project goals while ensuring compliance with industry codes and standards.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Structural Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• 15+ years of experience in transmission line design.
• Demonstrated experience leading design efforts on 765kV projects.
• In-depth knowledge of NESC, IEEE, AISC, ASCE 7/10/48 and related codes.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.

Aufgaben

• Lead transmission line project designs as a subject matter expert.
• Develop design criteria documents and construction specifications.
• Prepare construction packages with structure details, materials, staking tables, and plans.
• Estimate project costs, resources, and schedules.
• Write and review specifications per industry standards.
• Conduct feasibility and routing studies and EMF calculations.
• Oversee project implementation and equipment installations.
• Mentor engineers and technicians, guiding professional growth.
• Travel to client sites for definition and execution phases.
