Job summary

CBRE is seeking a People Business Partner in Remote USA. This role will support the rollout of HR initiatives, policies, and procedures, and provide employee relations guidance across the organization. Travel up to 40% monthly is required, with frequent activity in large facilities and warehouse environments.

The candidate will help with onboarding, career ladders, succession planning, performance management, and training. Strong MS Office and PeopleSoft/Smartsheet knowledge is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5-8 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to exercise judgment based on analysis of multiple sources of information.
• Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PeopleSoft & SmartSheet).
• Strong organizational and numerical skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with onboarding, career ladders, succession planning, and performance management initiatives in the organization.
• Provide employee relations guidance, conflict resolution, and assist with issuing disciplinary action and performance improvement counseling.
• Work with managers to identify employment-related risks and begin the discovery process of investigations and grievances.
• Manage several HR functions such as employment, labor relations, compensation, etc. for a business unit or line of business.
• Conduct training on a variety of topics including performance management, diversity, and more.
• Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
• Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of own job discipline and broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
• Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.
• Impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within own team and other related teams.
• Work within broad guidelines and policies.
• Explain difficult or sensitive information.
• Travel to our sites which could be up to 40% monthly - drive and overnight trips required.
• Preferred Warehouse-Fulfillment Centers -up to 50% walking in our large facilities.
• Prefer to live close to a major airport as they will be traveling weekly.
