Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking a Patient Access Representative to greet patients, verify demographics and collect payments, both by phone and in clinic. You are the first contact and will help create a welcoming, accurate patient experience while handling registration and scheduling duties.

The role supports coordination of referrals and pre-authorizations, manages a multi-line phone system, and contributes to a smooth patient flow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of work experience in a medical office setting.
• Medical terminology helpful; customer service skills essential.
• BLS may be required for certain locations and/or settings.

Responsibilities

• REGISTRATION – Greet patients & verify demographics, collect signatures and assist with forms.
• SCHEDULING – Coordinate appointments, referrals, and pre-authorizations; manage recalls and waitlists.
• ADDITIONAL DUTIES – Handle chart prep, documentation and patient financial assistance as needed.
