Cox Automotive — USA is seeking a Mobile Diesel Tech II for DOT management, performing PMs and repairs in a mobile/field environment. This is an individual contributor role with a flexible remote option, but you must live in the specified city, state, or region. Night shift hours are 1pm to 11pm, Wednesday through Sunday, with 100% travel.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ related field experience.
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required duties.
• Obtain ASE T8 certification within 18 months.
• DOT/FMCSA regulations compliance and pre-employment steps.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical/braking/cooling systems and related components.
• Inspect, test, and road test vehicles to ensure proper operation.
• Independently manage parts inventory and company service truck upkeep.
• Document RO findings and parts used using TRAIT on iOS device.
