Job summary

Cox Automotive’s Cox Fleet division seeks a Mobile Diesel & Trailer Technician to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and on-site repairs for a mobile fleet. You will diagnose issues, document results, and manage parts for light through heavy-duty trucks in a field setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; relevant field experience acceptable in lieu of degree
• ASE T8 certification within 18 months preferred or required depending on location
• Experience performing DOT inspections and preventative maintenance on trucks and trailers

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environment
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and transmission systems
• Inspect trailers for brakes, air lines, liftgates, and associated components
• Maintain service records and upload RO details using TRAIT app on company devices
• Coordinate parts and communicate with management for estimates and approvals
