Job summary

Cox Automotive – USA is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II for night shift work in a flexible remote-capable setup within the U.S. You will perform DOT inspections, regular PMs, and light repairs on a range of trucks in the field, using diagnostic tools and maintaining documentation.

A valid DOT medical card or equivalent compliance is required; multiple ASE certifications are preferred. This role offers competitive hourly pay, overtime opportunities, and benefits; you will operate a

Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ related experience.
Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform duties.
ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
DOT/FMCSA regulatory compliance knowledge.
Valid driver’s license; 21+ years old.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM), DOT inspections and repairs in mobile/field environment.
Diagnose and repair electrical/braking/cooling systems and other truck equipment.
Inspect, test, and listen to equipment using test instruments and gauges.
Maintain parts inventory and reconcile service truck supplies.
Complete DOT forms and document findings accurately and timely.
