Job summary

Cox Automotive seeks a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform PMs, inspections, and repairs on trucks and trailers in a mobile/field setting. This night-shift role requires meeting DOT/FMCSA requirements and may allow remote work within the specified city/region.

Expect competitive hourly pay in the $29.38–$44.09 range and opportunities for incentive programs. You will diagnose and repair a wide range of systems, maintain a company vehicle, document findings via RO in TRAIT, and ensure safety

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ related experience, or equivalent.
• Must supply hand tools necessary for job duties.
• ASE T3/T4/T5/T6/T7 and 608/609 certifications preferred.
• This job follows DOT/FMCSA regulations and DOT medical requirements.
• 21+ years old with valid driver’s license and MVR check.

Responsibilities

• Perform PMs, DOT inspections, and repairs on light to heavy-duty vehicles in the field.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and transmission systems.
• Inspect and test trailers and related equipment.
• Document work on RO using iOS device and TRAIT app.
• Maintain safety, respond to customer needs, and manage schedules.
