Job summary

Cox Fleet in the United States seeks a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light repairs on heavy-duty trucks. You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, manage parts and inventory, and document work via company tools.

The position requires ASE certifications (T6/T8), a valid DOT medical card, and 3–5 years of related experience. Remote work options with residency in the specified area are allowed, with a four-day

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or 3 years related field experience, or 5 years related field experience.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT medical card with >4 months remaining can substitute for a DOT physical; if ≤4 months, a DOT physical is required.
• ASE T6 (Electrical and Electronic Systems) certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor adjustments and repairs on truck equipment including Electrical/Brake/Cooling Systems, Starters/Alternators, Fan clutches and more.
• Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck equipment and systems including engines, transmissions, and electronics.
• Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment using handheld test instruments and gauges.
• Independently manage parts inventory and maintain the service truck and RO documentation.
• Maintain and operate the service vehicle, conduct safety checks, and pre-/post-trip inspections.
• Communicate with customers and management to obtain approvals and discuss RO findings.
