Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level I to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and light repairs in a mobile/field environment. You will diagnose electrical and mechanical issues on various trucks and document work using our TRAIT app.

The role includes maintaining the service truck, pre/post-trip checks, and safety compliance. A High School Diploma or equivalent with ASE certifications is required, with DOT medical card, and on-the-job training provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ related field experience, or 5 years’ related field experience.
• ASE T6 (Electrical/Electronic Systems) certification required.
• ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months of hire.
• Current DOT medical card or able to obtain DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on light to heavy vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems on trucks.
• Document findings, parts used and RO details using company TRAIT app.
• Maintain service truck, perform pre-/post-trip inspections, and ensure safety compliance.
