Job summary

Cox Automotive, via Cox Fleet, is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level I to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and light repairs in a mobile/field setting. The role emphasizes safety, diagnostics, and customer service, with an emphasis on advancing skills under supervision.

Qualified candidates possess a High School Diploma or GED, ASE T6/T8, and a valid DOT medical card. Benefits include weekly pay, training, and healthcare options starting day one.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years in related field, or 5 years in related field.
• Obtain ASE certification T8 (PMI) within 18 months.
• DOT medical card with >4 months remaining (or DOT physical if ≤4 months).
• ASE T6 (Electrical and Electronic Systems)

Responsibilities

• Perform PMs, DOT inspections, and repairs on light to heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environments.
• Diagnose electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and transmission systems on trucks.
• Inspect and test equipment using handheld tools and gauges.
• Manage parts and supplies on service truck; document on RO via TRAIT app.
• Communicate with management for approvals and PO numbers.
