Job summary

Cox Automotive - USA is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II for the 2nd shift to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light to moderate repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will work under supervision to diagnose electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems, and ensure compliance with safety and DOT regulations.

The role requires tools, a valid CDL/driver's license, and ASE T8 certification within 18 months.

Qualifications

• Must have HS diploma or GED; 3+ years in related field or 5 years experience.
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools for duties.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification to be obtained within 18 months.
• Must pass DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, engines and transmissions.
• Inspect, test, and diagnose equipment using hand tools, test instruments and diagnostic devices.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and performance.
• Manage parts inventory on service truck and document RO in TRAIT app.
• Complete DOT forms and maintain timely documentation.
