Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is seeking a Specialist, Market Operations to support two exchanges (CDE and Deribit) in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment.

You will troubleshoot real-time issues, coordinate cross-functional resolutions, and assist with deployment testing to protect production systems. The role requires a BA/BS in a technical field with 1+ years in financial markets operations or a technical ops role, plus familiarity with futures/options, and experience in multi-channel support.

Qualifications

BA/BS in Information Systems, Economics, Finance, or a technical field, with 1+ years of experience in financial markets operations or a technical operations role.
Demonstrated product and operational knowledge of listed futures or options, including hands-on experience with error trade analysis and resolution.
Able to diagnose and articulate complex technical problems to technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience delivering multi-channel support with high-volume, time-sensitive conditions.
Familiarity with prediction markets, event contracts, FIX protocol, SQL, or CRM tools such as Salesforce and JIRA is a plus.
Utilizes generative AI responsibly, with human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.

Responsibilities

Own real-time functional and technical support for electronic trading, clearing systems, and exchange applications across CDE and Deribit.
Investigate and resolve customer inquiries related to exchange functionality, market events, connectivity, product schedules, and business technology.
Provide front-line support for internal and external investigations tied to exchange operations, including error trade analysis and resolution.
Coordinate with product and development teams to launch new products, implement platform updates, and execute deployment testing in pre-production environments.
Support onboarding and ongoing operational enablement of clients and vendors across both exchanges, including prediction markets and event contracts listed on CDE.
Identify, document, and recommend operational process improvements aligned with business objectives and platform growth.
