Swiss Re's U.S. Life and Health Underwriting team seeks a sharp, curious professional to apply evidence-based risk selection across medical, financial, product and governance considerations. Collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams to deliver strong outcomes.

You will travel up to 10% for meetings and conferences; a hybrid work model is available, with exceptional candidates considered for remote work. FLMI/FALU and 5+ years' experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Life & Health underwriting experience
• FLMI and/or FALU designation, or progress toward earning one
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Familiarity with AI-enabled underwriting tools, digital resources
• Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
• Time management and organizational skills

Responsabilités

• Apply disciplined, evidence-based risk selection across medical, non-medical, financial, product, market, and governance considerations.
• Escalate complex or unusual matters appropriately and apply guidelines in a commercially sound way.
• Partner with clients and internal cross-functional teams to provide underwriting expertise for projects.
• Promote Life Guide and stay updated on its guidance.
• Participate in annual client underwriting seminars, webinars, thought leadership discussions.
• Support a culture of continuous learning through training programs and meetings.
• Maintain knowledge of core insurance products, legislation, taxation, and underwriting tools.
• Travel up to 10% for internal meetings and conferences.
