Job summary

New Relic, Inc. is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to join our IT Engineering team. You will own core network infrastructure globally and advance AI enablement, automating repetitive tasks and driving secure, scalable solutions.

You will partner with Security, Compliance, Facilities, IT Support, and Engineering to shape the roadmap, lead projects, and document designs while maintaining high standards of reliability and security.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in network, infrastructure, or IT engineering.
• Strong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, TLS, VPN, proxy, firewall) and proven troubleshooting skills.
• Hands‑on experience managing Meraki or comparable enterprise network infrastructure.
• Experience working with ISPs and carriers, including circuit management and outage escalation.
• Hands‑on experience with enterprise AI or LLM platforms (Gemini, Claude or similar), including administration or integration work.
• Proficiency in a scripting or programming language (Python, Bash, JavaScript) and experience building against REST APIs.
• Understanding of data security principles as they apply to AI usage (data classification, DLP, least privilege).
• Strong critical thinking and structured problem‑solving skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication, including the ability to document designs and teach others.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve core network infrastructure across global offices and drive AI platform governance.
• Design, deploy, and manage Meraki infrastructure and troubleshoot office network issues.
• Manage ISP relationships, circuit procurement, installs, renewals, and outage escalation.
• Plan and execute office network builds, moves, and refreshes with Facilities and Security.
• Design, deploy, and operate Zero Trust and network security infrastructure.
• Monitor network health, respond to incidents, and drive root cause fixes.
• Maintain network documentation and runbooks.
• Deploy and administer enterprise AI platforms (Gemini, Claude) and related tools.
• Build AI‑powered automations and enforce AI usage controls.
• Evaluate new AI tools, run pilots, and recommend adoption based on impact.
• Build integrations and automation using scripts and APIs; participate in global on‑call rotation.
