Robert Morris University is seeking a Financial Aid Counselor to provide expert guidance on federal, state, and institutional aid policies. The role primarily operates in-office, with occasional remote flexibility upon manager approval, supporting diverse programs including undergraduates, graduates, online, and certificates.

The counselor will verify files, counsel families, and present financing options while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree is preferred or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years of financial aid experience is preferred.
• Ability to work with and maintain confidential student and University information.
• Extensive knowledge of federal and state financial aid policies.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Strong commitment to customer service.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Evening and/or weekend hours may be required.

Responsabilités

• Manages the financial aid process for approximately one-third (1/3) of the student population across various programs.
• Counsels students and parents on financial aid policies and procedures via appointments, walk-ins, phone, and email.
• Completes verification and monitors student files; collects and reviews required documentation and resolves discrepancies.
• Represents the University at on-campus and off-campus events, answering questions and presenting financial aid information.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
