Job summary

Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) Construction & Development is seeking a Construction Manager to lead the construction management team, ensuring safe, on-time, and on-budget delivery of major capital projects across the MTA network.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least five years of experience, with a focus on contract compliance, constructability reviews, and stakeholder coordination. Telework is eligible for one day per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction, or Project Management, Business Administration, Transportation, or a related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years of related experience.
• PMP and CCM certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead construction management team in execution of CM processes and oversight of contractor performance.
• Review in-house designs for constructability in non-Design-Build projects.
• Monitor and audit third-party design and construction activities for contract compliance.
• Oversee a multi-disciplinary construction team to deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
• Ensure compliance with contract docs, standards, laws, and project requirements; prioritize safety.
