Job summary

The Construction Manager will lead MTA Construction & Development delivery efforts, ensuring contract compliance and safe, on-time delivery of major capital projects.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Construction, you will oversee contractor performance, manage budgets, coordinate with stakeholders, and promote safety and quality across the project life cycle. Telework is eligible one day per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction or related field.
• Minimum five years of related experience.
• PE or Architect license desirable; PMP/CCM preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong team building, listening, problem solving and prioritization.

Responsibilities

• Lead construction management team through the project life cycle.
• Oversee contractor performance, contract administration, and inspections.
• Monitor quality, schedule, budget, and safety across projects.
• Ensure compliance with contract docs, standards, and regulations.
• Develop solutions to unforeseen conditions and negotiate changes.
• Coordinate with Delivery staff and adopt innovative methods.
• Prepare status reporting and maintain project documentation.
