Job summary

ABB is seeking a Sales Specialist for the Kansas City area to drive electrification product sales across commercial, industrial, and governmental sectors. Position reports to the District Sales Manager, Mid-South, and supports ABB Smart Buildings within the United States.

You will meet qualitative and quantitative sales goals, identify new opportunities, and cultivate relationships with electrical contractors and channel partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field is required.
• Minimum 5 years of sales experience is required.
• High school diploma with 10 years sales experience qualifies.
• Experience in large commercial construction and industrial projects in the electrical products industry is required.
• Experience working with electrical contractors and channel partners is required.
• Salesforce.com experience is preferred.
• Six Sigma knowledge is a plus.
• Knowledge of power distribution products is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue upcoming sales opportunities and shape customer specs to grow ABB market share.
• Educate customers with technical presentations; introduce new products and target customers.
• Collaborate with Product Managers on product gaps and new introductions; share customer feedback.
• Generate cross-selling leads to facilitate doing business with ABB Industrial Solutions.
