Job summary
Navarro Research and Engineering, Inc is seeking a Kentucky-licensed Professional Engineer (PE) - Electrical to support DOE facility modification work in Paducah, KY. The role involves design engineering, specifications, and field activities for industrial and nuclear environments with travel to Paducah as required.
The position entails developing electrical design deliverables, performing start-up support, and ensuring compliance with DOE requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
- Active Kentucky PE license.
- DOE experience required.
- Experience working in industrial/chemical/nuclear facilities.
- Ability to support field visits in Paducah.
Responsibilities
- Provide electrical engineering support for DOE facility modification projects.
- Develop and review electrical specifications, calculations, statements of work, design drawings.
- Support electrical design activities for modifications, obsolete equipment replacement, startup support, and troubleshooting.
- Apply NEC/IEEE standards and safety requirements to design tasks.
- Coordinate with project managers, discipline leads, and client reps to support task execution.
- Support field visits, reviews, and project meetings as needed.
- Comply with site access, safety, QA, security, radiological control requirements for DOE work.
- Assist with work planning, milestones, and engineering documentation.
