Navarro Research and Engineering is recruiting a Kentucky-licensed Professional Engineer (PE) - Mechanical to support bid and task-based design engineering services for DOE facility modification work in Paducah, Kentucky. This role involves mechanical design scope for piping, pumps, equipment, and related systems.

The work includes modifications to existing facilities, design documentation, field visits or project meetings at the Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant as required, with a focus on

Qualifications

• Kentucky-licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required.
• DOE experience preferred and relevant to facility modifications.
• Experience with mechanical piping, pumps, equipment, and related systems.
• Ability to travel to Paducah, KY for field visits and meetings.
• US citizenship required by government contract.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical engineering support for DOE facility modification projects, focusing on piping, pumps, equipment, and related systems.
• Develop and review mechanical specifications, calculations, engineering evaluations, statements of work, design drawings, test plans, and technical documentation.
• Support mechanical piping runs to new facilities and modifications involving repair or replacement of components.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems and provide technical input for design, installation, testing and start-up.
• Coordinate with project managers, discipline leads, client representatives, and other staff to support task execution and field needs.
• Ensure compliance with site access, safety, QA, and radiological control requirements.
