Job summary

Navarro Research and Engineering is seeking a Kentucky-licensed Professional Engineer (PE) - Chemical to support DOE facility modification work in Paducah, KY. The role includes design engineering, specifications, and process flow development for chemical systems, with travel to Paducah as needed.

The ideal candidate will have a PE license in Kentucky, a chemical engineering degree, and DOE experience in regulated facilities, nuclear processing, or environmental projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering is required.
• Active Professional Engineer license in Kentucky is required.
• DOE facility experience is required.
• Experience supporting chemical/process systems in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide chemical engineering support for DOE facility modification projects and related process design.
• Develop specifications, calculations, evaluations, and design drawings for chemical systems.
• Coordinate with vendors on treatment media and assist with field visits and project meetings.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, site procedures, and radiological control requirements.
