Job summary

Applied Engineering is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer - Power Distribution for remote work in the United States. You will design LV/MV distribution products, develop schematics and documentation, and support from concept through manufacturing and testing.

The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering and 1–2+ years of experience with NEC/UL standards and electrical design software such as AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or SolidWorks Electrical. Competitive pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required.
• 1-2+ years experience in electrical or power distribution design.
• Experience with LV and MV AC systems and NEC/UL standards.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN or similar software.

Responsibilities

• Design and support LV/MV power distribution products from concept to manufacturing, testing, and implementation.
• Research, evaluate, and select electrical components based on requirements and ratings.
• Develop electrical designs, schematics, and technical documentation for manufacturing and testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and cost-effective power distribution solutions.
• Support product validation, prototype testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to switchgear, switchboards, transfer switches, load banks, generators, and energy storage systems.
